Fairy Tail (Review)

Fairy Tail is, and always will be, my favorite anime. This is why this review will be much longer then the other ones.

What is Fairy Tail?

Lucy Heartfilia, a traveling wizzard, meets Natsu Dragneel, a wizzard looking for his foster parent, a Dragon named Igneel, with his best friend, Happy, a blue, talking and flying cat. Shortly after their meeting, Lucy is abducted by Bora of Prominence, who was posing as Salamander of Fairy Tail, to be sold as a slave.

Natsu rescues her and reveals that he is the real Salamander of Fairy Tail and has the skills of a Dragon Slayer, a form of Lost Magic. He offers her membership into the guild, which she gladly accepts.

They, along with the armored wizzard Erza Scarlet, Ice-Make Mage Gray Fullbuster, and Happy, become a team performing various missions offered to the Fairy Tail Guild.

Why is Fairy Tail so good?

Fairy Tail is the perfect combination of humor, action, adventure and even a little bit of romance all in one.

The plot

You would think that in an anime about wizzards : “I’ve seen something like that before”. But that’s not true, it has a plot like nothing else. A plot that is just right, there is nothing in Fairy Tail which makes me think: “Well, that doesn’t make any sence”. Even though Fairy Tail is shounen, it can appeal to both boys and girls.

The characters

Fairy Tail has a lot of characters that all have their own background story and that is what makes it so special. Each and every character is so well developped that even if you don’t really associate with the main characters, there will always be one that you think of: “Okay, I get you.”.

Let’s talk a bit about my two favorite characters:
Lucy: a girl who wants to be more than just her fathers daughter or a pretty thing. A girl who cares so much about others that she would go to the end of the world to help them. Even though Lucy isn’t the strongest wizzard, she helps the others by supporting them and cheering them on when they need it. This makes her special.

Natsu: you would think a pink haired guy couldn’t possibly be badass. Well, think again. Not only is Natsu raised by a dragon, can he use fire dragon slayer magic and actually EAT fire, but he also never EVER gives up. Fairy Tail is his family and nothing will hurt them. Each time things look bad Natsu will save the day by never giving up. Yet when things don’t look bad, Natsu is fun to be around. His impulsive side that makes him do things without thinking often brings him in trouble which makes him kinda adorable.

The feels

Wizzards of the Fairy Tail guild are family. Througout the anime this feeling of family becomes clearer and clearer. This gets you, it makes you wish you could be part of a family like that. Not only would they die for each other, they would LIVE for each other.

The humor

To say Fairy Tail is funny, would be an understatement. A combination of subtle and just full-out jokes makes it amazing. The wizzards always get in situations that are hilarious and their unexpected reactions to different situations are sometimes so funny you could actually cry.

Fairy Tail is a beautiful anime, everything is so well-drawn, it really sucks you into the anime.
