If you like anime with cute drawings and flowers this is not for you, but if you’re a fan of dark pictures and a not-so-healthy amount of blood. Tokyo Ghoul is the anime to see.

I have to say, Tokyo Ghoul was the first horror anime I ever saw and I really jumped straight into the deep. The funny thing is, it kinda starts all cute and flowery with a guy who has a crush on a girl. The girl asking him to get something to eat. However it takes a very different turn when it turns out the girl wants to eat him.

This starts a series of very bloody and a bit scary events, you could not mistake this show for a cute one anymore. Even though I’m not the biggest horror fan, certainly not when there’s blood flying around just for the sake of having blood flying around, I actually liked this one.

You’re in the dark of what’s going to happen for most of the anime, which is something I like. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. Weirdly enough the story makes a lot of sense and even though it is pure fiction, you really start to believe the story.

The only flaw in the story is the main character. To say he is a pussy is an understatement and I’m not a fan of that kind of characters. Luckily he is always in the presence of a very badass chick who makes all the difference.

If you’re a fan of horror anime, this one is certainly a must see. I also recommend to you to see both seasons because the main character has a very big personality change.
